From the start when arriving at the hotel we were welcomed with a really nice greeting and a very kind staff member at the front desk. He gave us directions and showed us some very nice places to eat out as a couple together which we very much took the advice from. The room as we arrived was clean and tidy, I asked the hotel prior to booking if they could provide me and my wife cocktails in the room on arrival and they did for our anniversary. The balcony out into the square was fantastic and provided much entertainment hearing the buzz of people and music at night, it was fabulous. Even with that noise, the windows closed it was silent and peaceful and we slept really well. The beds were really comfy and the shower/bathroom was fab. Breakfast deserves its own rating and box, it was fantastic. Could not ask for more, there was such variety especially for gluten free like myself. The coffee was fantastic, the staff were really helpful and the room where we ate was really nice. It was such a fab place to get your day started eating in there.

Best location if you want to be near the Ribeira and main attractions. I stayed 2 nights during the busiest weekend of the year, the Sao Jao festival. The Ribeira area was completely pack of people enjoying the nice area and good weather. The hotel was only 10 minutes walking distance; close enough to enjoy and far enough from the heavy crowds (due to festival). Also walking distance to main attractions in Porto and across the bridge to visit wineries at Vila Nova de Gaia. The hotel was in general very nice and nicely decorated. My room was above expectations: great size, comfy bed, nice view facing the Ribeira area, good bathroom size. Free porto wine and pasteles de nata at the lobby. Very attentive personnel and very good breakfast. At night, when all restaurant were full, the hotel restaurant saved me a place and food/wine/attention was 5-star. I would definitely recommend and stay again. Next time for 3 or more nights. The hotel does not have a parking but there is public payed parking 300 meters from the hotel.

Located on a lovely little square and pedestrian way in the center of Porto, uphill from the Douro River with the bridge (Ponte de Dom Luis 1) crossing the river, and downhill from the train station with the beautiful tiles, and close to the Cathedral and Palacio da Bolsa Two special visits were to The World of Discovery interactive Museum about Portugals seafaring history and a Fado Concert. There was much musical activity along the square the evening we were there. It is close to many sites such as the cathedral, and other well known sites in the city. But Porto is build on steep hills so be ready for ups and downs which we did many. The hotel has an elevator, breakfast room (charges for Breakfast), full time desk staff, and an interesting little museum in the lobby. The room was clean, of reasonable size, en-suite bathroom, comfortable bed, and good view over the square. The hotel was fine for our 2 night stay and centrally located.

We had the best stay in this hotel! The room was very clean, had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the shower essentials were really nice. The location is just perfect, very close to all the sights. The staff of the hotel is truly amazing. So helpful, polite and nice! The receptionist gave us the best recommendations to visit the main attractions, and the waitress at the restaurant helped with the food alternatives. My girlfriend cannot eat gluten, so they provided gluten-free alternatives for her (even pastel de nata!), we highly appreciate it. ❤️ Would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Porto!

The location of the hotel was perfect for easily walking to the main attractions. The square outside the hotel was buzzing with restaurants and a variety of talented buskers. The building was originally a printer and stationery store, and we loved the retention of original features and printing artefacts scattered throughout the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully designed. It was a very restful, elegant room that reflected the history of the building. The clawfoot bath was a lovely luxury. Breakfast was delicious. There was a wide selection on offer to cater for all tastes.
